as some of you know we japanese program shows two japanese movies every semester.
we are talking what movie is good to show next semester.
if you know any good japanese movie, please tell me. (if you have the dvd of the movie and let us use, we appreciate it!)

Shoji, The Hidden Blade is a beautiful movie from the 90's, I believe. One of my favorites. Also, by the same director, The Twilight Samurai is almost as good. I am sure the class would love to watch those. They are easy to find almost anywhere.
I recommend Dororo or Shimotsuma Monogatari.
Dororo is a good, recent movie.
"A female warrior (Shibasaki) who was raised as a man joins a young samurai's quest to recover his body parts from demons and restore his dad's natural form."
Shimotsuma Monogatari is a comedy I think people will like.

yeah ive seen both movies.
twilight samurai was shown one time, so the hidden blade maybe a good one to show next semester.

i never heard shimokita monogatari, but it looks good on the site you gave me.

Another name for Shimotsuma Monogatari, I think, is Kamikaze Girls. It's a fairly popular movie, maybe you can find a copy at blockbuster. And I just ordered a copy Dororo earlier this weekend. So it might arrive before the week is over.
If you want them soon, I'll try burning the movies onto a DVD.
