Very Happy Success.
The movie is based on the real life story of how VHS came to be and the struggle behind it. Kagaya, the main character, at the start, is transferred to a video making company. Growing older and heading towards retirement, Kagaya feels as if he hasn't yet accomplished something he could be proud of. His wild ambitions and ideas put his team of businessmen and engineers in a toe-to-toe(s) race with Sony and other major electronic companies in developing a household video recording device. In the process, his wife suffers from a stroke and his rebellious punk of a son goes ape-sh!t on him. Sorry, the blame's on you Kagaya. Credit that line to Akon. An inspirational movie that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
I liked the movie. It had a lot of emotional scenes though. B overall.
