Movie Review

Dawn of a New Day

The movie, Dawn of a New Day, interested me for the first 30 minutes or so. Unfortuanately it all went downhill when I figured out how the movie would end. By the time that they had created the working protype for the VHS, I knew what was in store. The movie is a good example of heart and will, but the plot is continually drug out, which began to annoy me. I was waiting the whole time for them to just say that the VHS will be the standard.

I like the plot to an extent. The hour of them trying to get the VHS on the market is what bugged me. Problem after problem occurs, but that begins to get frustrating after the guys drive all night to see the man who is supposed to save them. This is what I saw was the climax of the movie, when they were told how impressive their product was. The power of this scene diminishes when they go through several more hardships convincing people to use their product.

The movie as a whole can be placed in to two seperate parts for me. The first half was good and I was intrigued by the man's hard work and morals. The second half I think I was getting more frustrated than the main character.
